Cat. #001221112: DOLORES DEL RIO

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Uncommonly early black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition, with gentle edge wear. Actor Herbert Marshall signs in black fountain pen on the verso. After fine work in classics like What Price Glory (1926), The Loves of Carmen (1927), Resurrection (1927), and Ramona (1928), gorgeous Mexican silent movie queen Dolores Del Rio went on to star in the early English- and Spanish-language talkies Bird of Paradise (1932), Flying Down to Rio (1933), Madame Du Barry (1934), Accused (1936), The Devil's Playground (1937), Journey Into Fear (1943), The Abandoned (1945), Maria Candelaria (1944), and Dona Perfecta (1951).
