Cat. #001242122: ANGIE DICKINSON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Leggy, youthful 8x10-inch black and white full-body shot, boldly signed in black felt-tip pen in the 1990s. In very good condition. Beauty contest inner Angie Dickinson entered films with an unbilled bit in the 1954 Warner Brothers musical Lucky Me. At first, she was confined to B-westerns and crime flicks, and television guest spots, perhaps most memorably as the murder victim in the very first episode of "Mike Hammer" (1958) and Cry Terror! (1958). She was promoted to the A-list when picked by Howard Hawks to play the female lead in Rio Bravo (1958), which gave her ample opportunity to display her celebrated legs, which, for publicity purposes, were reportedly insured by Lloyd's of London. She went on star in films both famous and forgettable, playing the mistress of gangster Ronald Reagan in The Killers (1964), Sergeant Anderson on T.V.'s "Police Woman" (1974-1978), Wilma McClatchie in Roger Corman's cult favorite Big Bad Mama (1974) and the 1987 sequel, Kate Miller in Dressed to Kill (1980), and the titular royal in Charlie Chan and the Case of the Dragon Queen (1981).
