Scarce vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch pale grey album page, acquired in-person in 1942. In good condition, with a handwritten date notation in another hand beneath the autograph. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the signed page here is not included. Character actor Charles Dingle, once described by a critic as "a perfect villain in respectable garb", was typically cast as brusque, seemingly above-reproach businessmen who would sell their mothers to close a shady deal. His long list of memorable film credits includes The Little Foxes (1941), Johnny Eager (1941), The Talk of the Town (1942), Lady of Burlesque (1943), The Song of Bernadette (1943), Cinderella Jones (1946), The Beast with Five Fingers (1946), Duel in the Sun (1946), My Favorite Brunette (1947), and If You Knew Susie (1948).
