Scarce vintage fountain pen signature on a 2x4-inch white card, attained in the 1950s and decorated with a small Players Directory image.  In good condition for its age.  Eddie Dowling was a tremendously influential composer, songwriter, author, vaudeville performer, film and stage actor, producer, and director, who also founded the U.S.O. Camp Shows.  His many musical compositions or co-compositions include "Dreams of You", "Half a Moon", "Jersey Walk", "Headin' for Harlem", "Mary Dear", "Wherever You Are", "Little Log Cabin of Dreams", "May God Keep You in the Palm of His Hand", "Velvet Lady", "Logic", "Suzie from Sioux City", "High Up on a Housetop", and "Do You Remember?"
