Uncommon vintage inscribed signature in turquoise fountain pen on a 3x5-inch white card, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Janet Bruce in the 1950s and decorated with a small magazine image.  In very good condition.  MGM contract player Tom Drake played boy-next-door types in classic films like Our Town (1940), The Mortal Storm (1940), The Howards of Virginia (1940), Meet Me in St. Louis (1944), The Green Years (1946), Mr. Belvedere Goes to College (1949), The Great Rupert (1950), The Raintree Country (1957).  From the late 1950s onward, he was increasingly relegated to B-movies and television work, starring in the horror, sci-fi and fantasy flicks The Cyclops (1957), House of the Black Death (1965), City Beneath the Sea (1971), The Bloody Slaying of Sarah Ridelander (1973), The Spectre of Edgar Allan Poe (1974).
