Cat. #0013226312: JIMMY DURANTE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce early 10x8-inch black and white publicity portrait for what the affixed snipe identifies as The New Wallingford-- actually released as New Adventures of Get Rich Quick Wallingford (1931)-- boldly signed in-person for inveterate collector Joe Walsh in the early 1930s.  A tiny chip to the upper left-hand corner tip; two pinholes; a light crease to the lower right-hand corner; a few minor dings; and some edge wear in spots, but, overall, in good condition for its age.  Gravelly-voiced, large-nosed singer, pianist, comedian, and actor Jimmy Durante was one of America's most familiar and popular personalities of the 1920s through 1970s.
