Extremely rare vintage 8x10-inch portrait, shown with his dog in front of his Maryland home, by Robert Eckhardt, boldly signed and inscribed in black ballpoint pen for "Whatever Became of...?" author Richard Lamparski in the early 1980s. In good condition, with a gentle diagonal crease to the upper right-hand corner and some light edgewear.Johnny Eck, iconic half-boy of the sideshow circuit, starred in Tod Browning's cult horror classic Freaks (1932), and played bird creatures in three Tarzan fantasy films of the 1930s and 1940s.
