Lovely vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone portrait, boldly signed with her name alone in fountain pen in the 1940s.  In very fine condition.  Before her death of stomach cancer at the age of 65, ever-chic, fashionable Faye Emerson was memorable in films like Lady Gangster (1942), Murder in the Big House (1942), Juke Girl (1942), Destination Tokyo (1943), The Desert Song (1943), The Very Thought of You (1944), and Nobody Lives Forever (1946).  She went on to become one of the first ladies of the early era of television.
