Uncommon vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch pale yellow autograph album page, acquired in-person following a theater appearance in 1946 and decorated with a small image clipped from the playbill. Sad-eyed Judith Evelyn, who died from cancer at just 58 and never quite garnered the recognition she deserved, was notable as Miss Lonelyhearts in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954), Nancy Lynnton in Giant (1956), Madame Anna Hohlakov in The Brothers Karamazov (1958), and Martha Ryerson Higgins in the horror favorite The Tingler (1958).
