Scarce and excellent vintage 11x14 oversize double-weight sepia-tone glossy portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in the late 1920s or early 1930s. In near-fine condition, with light staining to the upper border; slight paper loss at the bottom right-hand corner tip; mild creasing along the right edge; and a minor vertical tear at the top center, above his head, very slightly intruding into the background of the image. Best remembered for his work in two-reel comedies of the 1930s and opposite Lupe Velez in the Mexican Spitfire features of the 1940s, character actor Leon Errol also starred as Herbert in the horror and sci-fi favorite The Invisible Man's Revenge (1944).
