In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Austrian stage star Willy Eichenberger fled the Third Reich in 1933, reestablishing himself in England and the States as master villain actor Carl Esmond. He was deliciously wicked as assorted Nazi officers and suave, oily cads in films like The Dawn Patrol (1938), Thunder Afloat (1939), Sergeant York (1941), Resisting Enemy Interrogation (1944), The Master Race (1944), Address Unknown (1944), Ministry of Fear (1944), the horror flick The Catman of Paris (1946), Smash-Up: The Story of a Woman (1947), Slave Girl (1947), Walk a Crooked Mile (1948), The Desert Hawk (1950), Mystery Submarine (1950), Hitler (1962), The Kiss of the Vampire (1963), and Agent for H.A.R.M. (1966). Very occasionally, he was cast as more sympathetic characters, such as the dedicated, courageous Dutch physician in Cecil B. DeMille's The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944) and author Jules Verne in the sci-fi flick From Earth to the Moon (1958).
