Scarce and breathtaking vintage 7.5 x 9.5-inch sepia-tone portrait by Seely of Hollywood, boldly signed and dated 1928 in white fountain pen.  In very good condition and ideal for display.  Highlights of beautiful silent movie star Margarita Fischer's career included roles in The Baby (1912), the 1913 and 1927 versions of Uncle Tom's Cabin, Lost: A Union Suit (1914), Closed at Ten (1914), A Joke On Jane (1914), The Quest (1915), The Miracle of Life (1915), the early horror flick The Devil's Assistant (1917), Robinson Crusoe (1917), Impossible Susan (1918), Trixie From Broadway (1919), The Thirtieth Piece of Silver (1920), and Any Woman (1925).  She was also a regular in silent comedies, appearing in over 50 shorts and features, often alongside her husband, actor and director Harry A. Pollard.
