Uncommon vintage inscribed, handwritten and boldly signed 1979 letter in blue ballpoint pen on a 4.5 x 6.25-inch folded sheet of tan stationery, in which he responds to an inquiry from a fan about his favorite role, revealing it to be that of Henry Higgins in "My Fair Lady" on stage (1960-1961), in which he succeeded Rex Harrison.
