Uncommon vintage thick pencil signature on a 4x6-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition, with some mounting remnants on the verso. Bulky character actor Jay C. Flippen, with his distinctive bulldog mug, beetle brow and silver-white hair, played a mixed bag of hotheaded criminals, sheriffs, prison wardens, military men, bartenders, farmers, and rugged adventurers.  His long list of memorable film credits includes Winchester '73 (1950), The Lemon Drop Kid (1951), Bend of the River (1952), Thunder Bay (1953), The Wild One (1953), The Far Country (1954), Strategic Air Command (1955), Kismet (1955), Oklahoma! (1955), The Killing (1956), The Deerslayer (1957), The Restless Breed (1957), Night Passage (1957), Ensign O'Toole (1962), and Firecreek (1968).
