Uncommon vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a lined 3x5-inch off-white card, dating to the early 1980s. In good condition. Mustached, puffed-up, Welsh-born character actor Bernard Fox had small, but memorable roles in films like Spin a Dark Web (1956), Home and Away (1956), Blue Murder at St. Trinian's (1957), The Safecracker (1958), The Two-Headed Spy (1958), and A Night to Remember (1958), delivering the key line in the letter, "Iceberg dead ahead, sir!" After a brief bit in the war picture The Longest Day (1962), he almost exclusively confined his activities to television, playing the hapless British Colonel Crittendon on "Hogan's Heroes" (1965-1970), the lovable eccentric Malcolm Merriwether on "The Andy Griffith Show" (1963-1965) and the witch doctor Dr. Bombay on "Bewitched" (1966-1972).
