Cat. #0014212: JANE FROMAN

Scarce inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in New York City in the 1930s. In good condition for its age. Remembered for her large contralto voice, vocalist Jane Froman earned three stars on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Severely injured in a plane crash while en route to a U.S.O. tour during World War II, her tragic story was the subject of the 1952 biopic With a Song in My Heart, in which she dubbed for Susan Hayward, who portrayed her in the film.
