Bold vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch yellow album page, acquired in-person by a busy New York City-based autograph hound in the 1930s. In good condition, with neat trimming to the lower edge, and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Comic character actor Richard "Skeets" Gallagher's nickname, which was short for "Mosquitoes," referred to his tendency to flit about, anxiously, like a tiny, winged insect. Highlights of his silent and early talkie movie career included Alex the Great (1928), Honey (1930), Possessed (1931), Up Pops the Devil (1931), The Phantom of Crestwood (1932), The Unwritten Law (1932), Bird of Paradise (1932), Alice in Wonderland (1933), In the Money (1933), Lightning Strikes Twice (1934), and Mr. Satan (1938).
