Scarce vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan album page, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hounds Rose and Irene Gellar in the late 1940s and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition. Prodigiously talented child actress Peggy Ann Garner snagged an Academy Juvenile Award for her sincere and moving portrayal of Francie Nolan in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945), her first featured role after bit parts in Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940), Jane Eyre (1943) and The Keys of the Kingdom (1944). She went on memorable work in Nob Hill (1945), Junior Miss (1945), Home, Sweet Homicide (1946), and Black Widow (1954), and played Betsy Boldface, sidekick of the villainous Riddler, on T.V.'s "Batman" (1967). Garner died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 52 and her autograph is highly elusive in any format.
