After gaining fame in the role of Holly Laird on T.V.'s "Fame" (1983-1987), the attractive leading lady was memorable as Jessie Chadwick in Youngblood (1986), Sandy Banatoni in the sci-fi-themed comedy Short Circuit 2 (1988), Chris Moscari in the horror flick Jack's Back (1989), the titular doomed songbird in The Karen Carpenter Story (1989), Amanda Beckett in Death Warrant (1990), and Louise in Gypsy (1993).  She was also memorable in an episode of "Tales from the Crypt" entitled "Korman's Kalamity" (1990).
