Cat. #0014231131212: JOHN GIBSON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Exceptionally uncommon vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1950s. In good condition, with gentle edge wear. Friendly-faced character actor John Gibson was part of a small group of performers, which also included George Petrie, Frank Marth and Eddie Hanley, who played various supporting roles on T.V.'s "The Honeymooners" (1955-1956). He popped up several times as Ralph Kramden's and Ed Norton's fellow Raccoon Lodge member Frank MacGillicuddy, who once drove a rift between the two best buddies; Ralph's bus depot coworker Pete; and Alice's whiny brother-in-law, Stanley Saxon.
