Cat. #001423121111: VAUGHAN GLASER

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Exceedingly rare vintage fountain pen signature on a 2x4-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Howard Davis at Boston's Colonial Theater in the 1940s. In fairly good condition for its age, with a light diagonal crease to the bottom left-hand corner, passing through the first letter of his autograph, and mounting remnants on the verso. Character actor Vaughan Glaser played professors, judges, clergymen, colonels, politicians, physicians, and other persons of authority in films like Meet John Doe (1941), Saboteur (1942), I Married an Angel (1942), The Pride of the Yankees (1942), Shadow of a Doubt (1943), and Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), as well as in the Henry Aldrich series of the 1940s. This is just the second example of his autograph we have encountered in 30 years.
