Quite scarce vintage black fountain pen signature on a 3.5 x 5-inch portion of a tan album page, acquired in-person in the 1920s and decorated with a small, frayed magazine image. In fine condition, with a circular stain to the lower area, behind part of the autograph. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the signature is not included. Plump Russian-born character actress Vera Gordon was considered the quintessential European Jewish mama in the silent and early talkie film eras, memorable in Humoresque (1920), The Greatest Love (1920), The Cohen and Kellys (1926) and its numerous sequels, Madame Satan (1930), Having a Wonderful Time (1938), The Living Ghost (1942), and Abbie's Irish Rose (1948).
