Scarce vintage 5x7-inch black and white matte-finish portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in the 1940s. In good condition. Dead End Kids, East Side Kids and Bowery Boys film star Leo B. Gorcey was memorable in Dead End (1937) and Angels with Dirty Faces (1938). He made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy film genres, including Spooks Run Wild (1941), Ghosts on the Loose (1943), Master Minds (1949), The Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters (1954), and Spook Chasers (1957). He died of liver failure at the age of 51 and his autograph is rather uncommon in any format.
