Scarce vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in July of 1942. In good condition and suitable for matting with a favorite photograph, if one includes the salutation. Dead End Kids, East Side Kids and Bowery Boys film star Leo B. Gorcey was memorable in Dead End (1937) and Angels with Dirty Faces (1938). He made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy film genres, including Spooks Run Wild (1941), Ghosts on the Loose (1943), Master Minds (1949), The Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters (1954), and Spook Chasers (1957). He died of liver failure at the age of 51 and his autograph is rather uncommon in any format.
