Highly rare vintage black fountain pen signature, dated 1959, on a 3 x 4.25-inch tan clip from the flyleaf of a book, laid down on a 5x8-inch sheet, beneath an image trimmed from the book jacket. English novelist, short-story writer, playwright, and journalist Graham Greene penned novels dealing with life's moral ambiguities in the context of contemporary political settings, often with Catholic themes. Shortlisted twice for the Nobel Prize in Literature, his marvelous body of work includes Brighton Rock (1938), The Power and the Glory (1940), The Heart of the Matter (1948), The Third Man (1949), The End of the Affair (1951), The Quiet American (1955), and Our Man in Havanna (1958).
