Uncommon vintage fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch pale green autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition, with negligible handling dings, and nice for matting. The enchanting silent movie star, dubbed the Orchid Lady of the Screen, was memorable in films like Black Oxen (1924), DeClasse (1925), The Garden of Eden (1928), and The Divine Lady (1929), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. Struggling to make the transition to talking pictures, she abandoned Hollywood at the age of 36, going on to an enormously successful career in real estate.
