Extremely rare vintage signature in black fountain pen on a 4x6-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1936, and decorated with a foil star and newspaper image by the original collector.  In good condition.  Silent and early talkie actor George Hackathorne, who played Sid Sawyer in Tom Sawyer (1916) and Huck and Tom (1918), died tragically after a prolonged illness at the age of 44, less than a year after his most important film credit, that of a wounded soldier in Gone with the Wind (1939).  His autograph is one of the most elusive of the various cast members'.
