Exceedingly rare and quite early inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light green album page, acquired in-person in 1943. In good condition and one of just four examples we have encountered in over 35 years. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Operatic baritone Richard Hale was recruited by Hollywood agents to embark upon a second career, playing menacing, grim-faced villains and an assortment of ethnic characters. He is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of sinister neighbor Nathan Ridley in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962).
