Scarce 7 x 9.75-inch sepia-tone bust portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in 1927.  Trimmed down from a larger photo for framing purposes, with a chipped upper right-hand corner and some edge wear.  Still, a desirable item.  Among his countless silent and early talkie film credits, the veteran character actor of the stage and screen played Martin Kent in the Warner Oland mad scientist picture The Drums of Jeopardy (1931) and the yacht captain in the horror classic The Most Dangerous Game (1932).
