Scarce and terrific vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone portrait, looking somehow sort of pretty, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in-person for inveterate collector Howard Davis at Boston's Colonial Theater in the 1930s. In good condition. Margaret Hamilton, homely character actress of the 1930s through 1970s, was unforgettable as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (1939). She made several other contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, playing Elaine Zacharides in William Castle's 13 Ghosts (1960) and Morticia's mother, Mrs. Frump, on T.V.'s "The Addams Family" (1965-1966).
