Cat. #00149711: OTIS HARLAN

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare vintage inscribed, handwritten note with a bold signature in black fountain pen on a 4x6-inch pale green album page, dating to the early 1930s.  In good condition, with a gentle fold down the middle.  Note that the image accompanying the scan of the autograph here is not actually included with the signed piece.  This is just the third autograph we have ever encountered of prolific and always funny silent and early talkie character actor Otis Harlan, who lent his distinctive voice to the characters of Happy in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (1937) and Mr. Mole in Bambi (1942) for Walt Disney Studios.  Tubby of build, cherubic-faced and pop-eyed, he was elsewhere memorable in Larry Semon's The Perfect Clown (1925), King of Jazz (1930), The Rider of Death Valley (1932), The Telegraph Trail (1933), W.C. Fields' The Old Fashioned Way (1934), horror's Life Returns (1935), Diamond Jim (1935), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935), and Scandal Street (1938).
