Ultra-rare and incontrovertibly authentic vintage blue fountain pen signature on a roughly 8x10-inch tan album sheet, part of a large collection all acquired in-person in the 1930s and decorated with images from movie magazines of the era. Wow-- an example NOT signed by her mother, Mama Jean! Blocks of toning and discoloration and a handwritten notation by the original collector, recording her death in 1936; otherwise, in fine condition for its age, with the signature itself suitable for tight matting, as demonstrated in our second scan here. Leading lady and glamorous sex icon Jean Harlow died tragically of kidney disease, brought on by scarlet fever, at the age of 26, after memorable work in The Public Enemy (1931), Red Dust (1932), Suzy (1936), Libeled Lady (1936), and Saratoga (1937). This is just the third authentic example of her autograph we have ever offered.
