Ultra-scarce vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen, circa 1917. In fine condition for its age. Robert "Bobby" Harron entered films at the age of 14, playing bit parts in D.W. Griffith shorts. He was ultimately promoted to leading man status, collaborating with the director on 220 films, including The Birth of a Nation (1915), Intolerance (1916) and True Heart Susie (1919). In 1920, he died of a gunshot wound under murky circumstances, aged only 27.
