Cat. #001509121: HURD HATFIELD

Scarce vintage 8x10-inch original publicity portrait as wretched Emperor Nero in 1961's King of Kings, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1960s. VERY rare in autographed portraits dating to his Hollywood heyday! In good condition. Intense leading man Hurd Hatfield first gained acclaim in the title role of Albert Lewin's horror gem The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945), and went on to fine work in The Diary of a Chambermaid (1946), Joan of Arc (1948), Tarzan and the Slave Girl (1951), King of Kings (1961), El Cid (1961), Harlow (1965), and The Boston Strangler (1968).
