Highly rare 11.5 x 14-inch framed L.P. record ad, boldly signed in-person for a violinist who recorded with him in the early 1970s. In very good condition. Oscar-winning film composer, conductor and orchestrator Bernard Herrmann was a veritable paragon of suspense film soundtracks, penning those for Citizen Kane (1941), which came on the heels of his writing music for Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre on the Air; The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951); 5 Fingers (1952); The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1960); Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959); Cape Fear (1962), and, perhaps most memorably, a number of Alfred Hitchcock classics, including Vertigo (1958), North by Northwest (1959) and Psycho (1960). Herrmann also composed for T.V.'s "The Twilight Zone" (1959-1963).
