Highly rare vintage original 3 x 3.25-inch black and white candid snapshot portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in-person in the late 1940s for an inveterate collector associated with Boston's Colonial Theater. In good condition. Before his death at 47 from pneumonia related to longtime alcoholism, character actor Weldon Heyburn had notable roles in films like The Gay Caballero (1932), Chandu the Magician (1932) with Bela Lugosi, The 13th Man (1937), Fugitive at Large (1939), They Died with Their Boots On (1941), Death Valley Rangers (1943), Charlie Chan and the Chinese Cat (1944), and The Great Jewel Robber (1950).
