Charming, sad-eyed singer and actress Judy Holliday recreated her role as Billie Dawn in the Broadway hit "Born Yesterday" (1946) in the 1950 film of the same name, earning her an Academy Award. A decade later, after regular appearances in films, she snagged a Tony for a knockout performance in the stage musical "Bells Are Ringing", in which she so memorably sang the tragic standard "The Party's Over".
