Cat. #0015453: ROCHELLE HUDSON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rather uncommon vintage inscribed fountain pen signature on a 2x5-inch slip of pink paper, acquired in-person in the 1930s.  In good condition for its age.  Lovely WAMPAS baby star and leading lady Rochelle Hudson was memorable as the voice of Honey on a long string of Bosko cartoon shorts, and in films like The Savage Girl (1932), She Done Him Wrong (1933), Such Women Are Dangerous (1934), Imitation of Life (1934), The Mighty Barnum (1934), Les Miserables (1935), Curly Top (1935), Way Down East (1935), Poppy (1936), Rascals (1938), A Woman Is the Jungle (1939), and Meet Boston Blackie (1941).  She transitioned to character roles later in life, noteworthy as James Dean's mother in Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and in the horror flicks Strait-Jacket (1964), The Night Walker (1964) and Gallery of Terror (1967).  She died of pneumonia at the age of 55 and her autograph is elusive in any format.
