Classic Entertainment Autographs

Cat. #00155321: JOSEPHINE HULL

Exceptionally rare-- signatures are tough to find; autographed images nearly impossible!-- 3.25 x 5.5-inch sepia-tone printed sketch portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in brown fountain pen while she was appearing on Broadway in the 1950s. A minor stain to the upper edge, and some gentle toning and edgewear; otherwise, in good condition. Plump, delightfully dizzy character actress Josephine Hull principally confined herself to the theater, but did grace a few classic films.  She was unforgettable in Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), as one of Cary Grant's murderous aunts; Harvey (1950), for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Oscar; and The Lady from Texas (1951).
