Cat. #00155321: JOSEPHINE HULL

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare black fountain pen signature at the close of a typed note on a 5.25 x 7.25-inch sheet of stationery, sent to fellow actor Blaine Cordner from New York's Belasco Theater in 1953, just a few weeks into to her run in the hit play "Solid Gold Cadillac," accompanied by its original handwritten envelope, which she has also signed "J. Hull." In good condition. Plump, delightfully dizzy character actress Josephine Hull principally confined herself to the theater, but did grace a few classic films.  She was unforgettable in Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), as one of Cary Grant's murderous aunts; Harvey (1950), for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Oscar; and The Lady from Texas (1951).
