Elfin character actress of the stage and screen Linda Hunt made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, memorable as Shadout Mapes in David Lynch's Dune (1984), Dr. Ann Cuthbert in The Relic (1996) and the Narrator in Blood Moon (2012). Among her many other credits in other areas, she portrayed diminutive photographer Billy Kwan in The Year of Living Dangerously (1982), for which she earned an Academy Award, and lent her distinctive voice to Grandmother Willow in Disney's Pocahontas (1995) and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998).
