Uncommon vintage 3.5 x 5.5-inch matte-finish black and white portrait, signed in black fountain pen along the bottom border in the late 1930s. In good condition. Among his countless credits in classic films of the 1930s through 1950s, perhaps most famously as Captain Crewe in the Shirley Temple favorite The Little Princess (1939), well-spoken Ian Hunter played Dr. John Lanyon in the horror favorite Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1941) and Henry Redmond in the sci-fi and fantasy picture The Door in the Wall (1956).
