Uncommonly early fountain pen signature on a 4.5 x 5-inch pale grey autograph album page, acquired in-person following a stage appearance in 1941.  In very good condition.  Veteran British stage and screen actor Raymond Huntley was typically cast as smug bureaucrats and supercilious authority figures.  He is something of a horror icon, having been the very first actor to portray Count Dracula in Hamilton Deane's stage adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel.  Onscreen, he is further remembered by fans of those genres for the horror-themed comedy The Ghost Train (1941), Meet Mr. Lucifer (1953), Hammer Studios' The Mummy (1959) with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, The Black Torment (1964), and Symptoms (1974).
