Scarce vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound John Virzi in 1964 and decorated with a small book image of the star. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Feisty, charismatic silent and early talkie screen actress Leila Hyams is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for her starring roles in Richard Rosson's The Wizard (1927); Tod Browning's The Thirteenth Chair (1929) and Freaks (1932); and Erle C. Kenton's Island of Lost Souls (1932).
