Scarce, uncommonly early black fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch pink autograph album page, acquired in-person around 1930 and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition, with some retracing of a first attempt to write her name, due to a pen issue. Feisty, charismatic silent and early talkie screen actress Leila Hyams is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for her starring roles in Richard Rosson's The Wizard (1927); Tod Browning's The Thirteenth Chair (1929) and Freaks (1932); and Erle C. Kenton's Island of Lost Souls (1932).
