Uncommon vintage 7.75 x 10-inch black and white portrait as Dr. David Zorba on T.V.'s "Ben Casey" (1961-1966), boldly signed and inscribed in blue ink around the time of the show. In good condition, with slight trimming of the right edge, probably for framing purposes. Esteemed character actor Sam Jaffe's Einstein-like shock of white hair and intense, cerebral visage made him the ideal scientist, physician or wise old man. He made several memorable contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, with key roles in The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), The Dunwich Horror (1970), The Tell-Tale Heart (1971), Disney's semi-animated Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), Battle Beyond the Stars (1980), and Nothing Lasts Forever (1984).
