Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Gorgeous model and actress Claire James had bit parts in classic films like Rose of Washington Square (1939), Gone with the Wind (1939), Road to Singapore (1940), Phantom Raiders (1940), They Drive by Night (1940), and Ziegfeld Girl (1941) before moving on to play more substantive, but still small roles, including Pierre's girlfriend in I Was a Prisoner on Devil's Island (1941), a comely zombie in Voodoo Man (1944) and Princess Alura in 1947's Jack Armstrong cliffhanger series.
