Quite scarce vintage inscribed blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound John Virzi in the 1960s and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Busy character actor Allyn Joslyn played pompous aristocrats and nervous, dyspeptic types in films like The Shining Hour (1938), Only Angels Have Wings (1939), I Wake Up Screaming (1941), The Affairs of Martha (1942), My Sister Eileen (1942), Heaven Can Wait (1943), Strange Confession (1944), The Horn Blows at Midnight (1945), Junior Miss (1945), If You Knew Susie (1948), The Jazz Singer (1952), and Titanic (1953). In the 1950s, he took on similar roles on television, perhaps most memorably that of anxious Mr. Hilliard on several episodes of "The Addams Family" (1964-1966), including the show's pilot.
