Ultra-, ultra-, ultra-rare and incontrovertibly authentic vintage 10x8-inch black and white glossy Republic Pictures publicity still for The Unearthly (1957), shown as Lobo II, alongside Sally Todd as Natalie Andries, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen for a personal friend, who was a noted autograph collector: "Best wishes and good luck / to my friend / Sergeant Ray E. Ward, / Yours truly, Tor Johnson / Hollywood, Calif / 5-13-60." In good condition for its age, with a minor tear to the lower border and scattered light creases in some spots. Bald, hulking, troglodyte-like professional wrestler and cult movie favorite Tor Johnson, known as "The Super Swedish Angel" in the ring, is beloved of horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his work in the Ed Wood favorites Bride of the Monster (1955), Night of the Ghouls (1959) and Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959), as well as in Ghost Catchers (1944), The Black Sleep (1956), The Unearthly (1957), and The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961).
