Cat. #0015827: MADELINE KAHN

Uncommon signature in black felt-tip marker on a 3x5-inch white card, dating to the 1980s. In good condition and ideal for mating with a favorite photograph. Before her untimely death of ovarian cancer at the age of 57, talented comic actress Madeline Kahn was unforgettable as Trixie Delight in Paper Moon (1973), Jenny Hill in The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1974), an El Sleezo patron in The Muppet Movie (1979), Mrs. White in Clue (1985), Gussie Mausheimer in An American Tail (1986), and Lola Hopper in Betsy's Wedding (1990).  She is perhaps best loved for her numerous collaborations with Mel Brooks, playing the Marlene Dietrich send-up Lili von Shtupp in Blazing Saddles (1974), Elizabeth in the horror-themed Young Frankenstein (1974), Victoria Brisbane in High Anxiety (1977), and Empress Nympho in History of the World: Part I (1981).
