Cat. #00158241: BOBBY JORDAN

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce vintage inscribed signature in green fountain pen on a 4x5-inch autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1945.  In good condition, with a small stain to the left of the writing, from an image affixed to the opposite side, and gentle toning around the edges.  The beloved Dead End Kid, East Side Kid and Bowery Boy was memorable in Angels with Dirty Faces (1938), That Gang of Mine (1940), Boys of the City (1940), and the horror-themed comedies Spooks Run Wild (1941) and Ghosts on the Loose (1943) with Bela Lugosi.  Jordan, who spent his post-Hollywood days working as a bartender, literally drank himself to death at the age of 42.  His autograph is extremely rare in any format.
