Classic Entertainment Autographs

Cat. #0015853122: ROBERT KEITH

Highly scarce vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound Lee Gold in the 1960s. In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the signature is not included. Scrawny, snarky character actor Robert Keith, who was the father of Brian Keith, was a veritable scene-stealer in a long string of classic films and television episodes. His best-known roles include those of Sheriff Bleeker in The Wild One (1953), Gregory Tuttle in Young at Heart (1954), Lieutenant Brannigan in Guys and Dolls (1955), Bernard V. Loomis in Love Me or Leave Me (1955), Jasper Hadley in Written on the Wind (1956), Alexander Bullock in My Man Godfrey (1957), Sam Pegler in Cimarron (1960), and Jason Foster, the dying, wealthy patriarch who leaves several money-grubbing family members horribly deformed in the classic episode of "The Twilight Zone" entitled "The Masks" (1964).
