Scarce and adorable vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait by Robert W. Coburn for Radio Pictures, as is stamped on the verso beneath an original studio snipe, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen for a collector who apparently planned to display his autograph collection at the New England Hobby Show. In good condition, with minor edgewear. Feisty Pert Kelton, who was a popular comedic film actress in the 1930s, was the first actress to play Alice Kramden on T.V.'s "The Honeymooners" (1951-1952) two decades later, forced to leave the show under suspicions of Communist leanings. She was also noteworthy as Shirley Jones' Irish mother in The Music Man (1962) and on the classic episode of "The Twilight Zone" entitled "Miniature" in 1963.
